Alisa came with us to Chengdu where I gave some lectures at Sichuan Normal University.  We never got to eat Chengdu’s signature hotpot, but the food was amazing.  Breakfast was my favorite (see below).  After the two lectures and an interview on the topic of women in academia, we were shown around by a graduate student whose English name is Cynthia.  On the first day she brought us to a temple honoring local historical figures, and the second to the Panda Research Center.
