I would have stayed longer, but Leah was so excited to see California, her dad, her cousins, her dog.

Grace and Henry came at the crack of dawn to accompany us to the airport.

Our trip ended in the best possible way, with a visit to Alisa’s village in Anhui Province.  Her family welcomed us, fed us (a lot), showed us around the area, gave us gifts, let Leah drive the three-wheel cars, sang and played erhu for us.  It was one of those experiences when times slows down and part of me wished I could stay forever.
