(Composed by Leah) Saturday (February 28, 2015) we took the plane to Lijiang. It took four hours. When we got there the airport was all made out of wood and really cute. The taxi dropped us off on a main street and the man from the inn met us. We had to roll our suitcases through the narrow streets of the old town to get to our inn. I realized for the first time that I like hot tea. The next day I went to Black Dragon Pool (but it's not really a pool, it's a park). I dressed up as Naxi and took pictures. And I got a little ceramic bird like a whistle that you can make sing. The next day I went to the kids' orientation while my mom went to meetings. We practiced Naxi words, and then took a quiz. I was one of the winners, and I got a real jade necklace. Then we made kites, and mine worked okay. It was sort of hard to get up in the air.
